Two new projects validated in 2015

20 July 2015

The Addax and Oryx Foundation granted funding for two new projects at its April and June Board meetings.

The Swiss Foundation of the International Social Service (SFISS) will receive funding for a project in Guinea Bissau aiming to improve the livelihoods and nutritional status of 60 rural families whilst reducing the risk of child migration. The twenty-month project supports the creation of community gardens for food crop production and income generation, combined with educational activities and training for youths.

The French association ESSOR will receive funding to pursue two aspects of its work in Guinea Bissau: promoting preschool education and vocational training and economic integration for vulnerable members of the population in two districts of the capital Bissau. The project aims to expand and perpetuate the achievements of the previous three-year project funded by the Addax and Oryx Foundation in the same two districts.
