The Foundation’s Board approved three new projects at the April Board meeting.
The Foundation will provide funding to the Ugandan Charity Cycling out of Poverty Uganda for a project in Jinja, improving access to education for 200 students through the provision of bicycles, educating 1,500 school children and 1,000 parents and community members on agroforestry, environment, climate change adaptations, protection of local biodiversity and nutrition.
The Hatua Network will receive funding from the Foundation for a two-year project enabling 30 bright, underprivileged children from Mombasa, Kenya, to finalize the last 2 years of their secondary school education.
The Accessibility Institute will receive funding from the Foundation for a two-year project in Kenya, aiming to address the root-causes of poverty and exclusion of people with mobility impairment, namely lack of opportunity.
